In ancient spiritual traditions, disciples were initiated through very real and very dangerous trials, set by a High Priestess or Priest. These initiations weren’t symbolic, they changed you. Survival alone wasn’t enough; integration and embodiment of the spiritual lesson were required. But in modern life, initiation rarely arrives with ceremony.
